27 October 1999

Elder Millington is taking a dump, so I've got a few minutes on my hands before we go out for the afternoon.  Hey, the electricity is back!  It was brown-out for the past half hour.

Wow, he pooped fast.  I have to go now.

It's evening now.  Elder Millington's on the toilet again.  I hope he doesn't have an amoeba or something.

I'm discovering that Elder Millington is somewhat of a dork.  He's got a rod up his butt, too, and from the way he talks, it's been there for a long time.  Oh well, I can put up with that.  There is one thing about him, though, that rubs me the wrong way.  It seems like he's trying to be senior companion sometimes.

I had a weird dream last night.  It was about comic books and the Second Coming of Christ.  I had, here on my mission, written a story for a Spider-man comic book.  It was accepted by Marvel Comics.  I went to Marvel headquarters in Tacloban to pick up a copy of it, but they hadn't finished printing it.  I hung around Tacloban with some other missionaries.  While we were waiting, we found out that the Savior had returned to the earth.  It wasn't yet the actual Second Coming.  He had returned and revealed himself to the Church leaders, and was now going around to all the missions in the world, preparing for the Second Coming.  We were all, needless to say, very excited that Jesus was coming to speak with us.  Before we went, though, I wanted to pick up my comic book.  So that's what we did.  The others tried to hurry me along, but I took my time looking at other comic books, trying to get caught up on the year I had missed.  They finally got me to leave, but I woke up before I got to see the Lord.
