26 November 1999

I'm in Barbo right now.  Elder Palma is interviewing Maria Rosa for baptism.  We're on our way back from Abuyog.  Last night, the six of us (Elders Richardson, Palma, Atkinson, Giles, Millington, and myself) ate spaghetti and Kool-aid with some district missionaries, and then we watched "The 10 Commandments."  It was awesome.  Charleton Heston is a stud.  After the DMs went home, the six of us jammed into the only room with air conditioning and turned the lights off.  Then we stayed up for an hour and a half talking.  It was fun.  Tolosa Zone has cool elders.

We had CSP (Community Service Project) in Abuyog this morning.  We slaughtered a pig (for a meat company; we didn't just find a pig at random and kill it).  Very bloody.  We peeled garlic, too.  My fingers stink now.  Elder Millington is still in Abuyog while I'm here in Dulag with Elder Palma.  It's nice to finally get away from the dork, even if it is only for a day.

LATER

Well, Maria Rosa's interview went well.  So did Leo Zeta's.  Both of their baptisms will continue tomorrow morning.  I had a nice chat with Agnes Zeta while Elder Palma interviewed Leo.  She's a very nice lady, even if she is a little weird.  Her language is messed up, too.  She speaks Tagalog with Waray-Waray and English mixed in with it.  I have a hard time understanding her sometimes, but she can usually get her point across.

It's Nilda Aucilas' 22nd birthday today.  We went and visited her.  I gave her some chips and chocolate, then Elder Palma did some magic tricks.  It was a nice visit.  They fed us pancit (rice noodles).
