2 November 1999

We didn't get much done today.  We had district meeting this morning.  After that, we had to go back to Tacloban because I needed more medicine that wasn't available here in Dulag.  We got home around 1:00.  Elders Valladolid and Elder Palma showed up at 1:30 to evaluate us.  During evaluations, Elder Millington was struck by a sudden nausea.  I was still feeling a little wonky myself, so he took a nap until 4:00 while I rested.  We went to see President Cobacha at 4:30.  As we were walking from his house to the market with the intention of catching a trike out to Hazel and Susan, we passed Sister Rosacay's house.  Someone yelled, "Elder!" to us.  I wasn't wearing my glasses, and it was raining, so I couldn't hear very well.  I thought it was one of her children yelling out a greeting, so I just waved and kept walking.  They kept yelling to us, but I couldn't hear what they were saying.  "Oh, what the heck," I said and turned back.  "Lets go visit them."  We walked to their front porch, looked up, and saw Hazel looking down at me.  She was there with Susan visiting Sister Rosacay.  We visited there for about 20 minutes, then Elder Millington and I accompanied Hazel and Susan to Hazel's house, where we visited until 8:00.  We had a lot of fun.  It had been a week since we had seen them, so we just talked and joked around the entire time.  They're going back to school next week, so we won't be able to visit them as often.  We'll see them every Saturday for the new member discussions, and every Sunday at church.  I'll miss visiting them so often, but it's probably for the best.  Hazel and I were getting kind of flirtatious tonight.  Just a little.  Nothing bawal (prohibited).
