I packed this morning. Before I was finished, Elder Richardson phoned and asked me to go to La Paz to tell Elder Melendez to go to Tacloban as soon as possible. So we went to La Paz. We got to their apartment at around 9:20, but they were already gone. We looked around the town proper for them, but we didn't see them, so we just left a note. We came back to Dulag, and I finished packing.
After lunch, we went and saw Van, the Baptist missionary from San Diego. We had a nice visit with him. He's a nice guy. Has cool stories. He used to be in the navy. Then we went and said good-bye to Ligaya. We had some spare time, so we walked out to the beach. Ligaya's youngest daughter, Mae-Ann, came with us. A bunch of her friends came, too. I played with them. It was fun. Mae-Ann is so cute. I'll miss her.
We went to see Sister Rosacay and her kids at about 4:00. We had a nice visit with them. She told us about some of the trials she had in the past. She has had a hard life. Around 5:00, Hazel and Susan showed up, much to my surprise. We all had a great visit. Hazel and Susan are so cool. So are the Rosacays.
We visited Sister Yepez and her family next. We had a nice visit. They fed us spaghetti. We said all of our good-byes, and then walked to San Miguel. On the way there, a pot-pot (foot-powered tricycle) pulled up beside us. Nilda and her mother were in it. "Elders, where are you going?" Sister Aucila said. "There's no one at the house, because Nilda's sick." I looked at Nilda. She looked barely conscious, and very sick. Her mother was rubbing her stomach. Apparently, she was having severe stomach pains. Her mother, a health clinic worker, thinks it might be appendicitis. They were on their way to get an ambulance to Tacloban, so I didn't delay them. I hope she's okay.
