We had a baptism this morning. Brother and Sister Arellano. It was a very nice baptism out in Tanghay. I'm excited about them. They have very strong testimonies.
Zone conference was on Thursday and Friday. We left 5:00 Thursday morning, met up with the Borongan elders, and then rode to Catbalogan where the zone conference was held. Some people I was glad to see, besides Borongan Zone, were Elders Fawns, Clark, Sutton (he's the new AP), Mendoza. I think that's it. It was a fun conference. I love Borongan Zone. Sister Fernendez, the new health sister, is really cool. Elder Sutton was teaching some of us sign language. His parents are deaf, so it's his first language. Sister Fernendez and I were arguing in it. Just for fun.
All the elders slept in a hotel Thursday night. It was pretty nice. Showers, flushing toilets, AC. Better than this place in Guiuan. It's been brown-out since Friday afternoon, by the way.
After morning session, and after lunch, Borongan Zone caught a bus to Borongan. We took the back bench and played the limp game. The rules: go limp and let the twisty, bumpy roads move you into interesting positions. The first person to move loses. It was a lot of fun.
From Borongan, Elder Wetenkamp and I caught an air conditioned bus to Guiuan. And that brings us pretty much up to date.
LATER
There's electricity in Housing. There's electricity downtown. There's electricity across the street. BUT THERE'S NO ELECTRICITY HERE!!
