Oh, what a tedious situation this is. In the middle of a third discussion this evening, the lights came on. We were very happy. When we left, we discovered that the street lights on the highway were still dark. But just the street lights. All of the houses had light, Barangay 8 has light, all the houses on the streets perpendicularly intersecting our street have electricity, downtown has electricity, pretty much everybody has power. We don't. It's been FIVE DAYS now. And there's no end in sight.
It's a real shame. Guiuan is a good area. The work is good, I like the members, and I have an awesome companion. But the often, lengthy brown-outs and the isolation make it hard for me to actually say "I love Guiuan."
