19 February 2000

We baptised Monica Medrano this morning.  We did it out in Dumpao.  It was raining, but that didn't stop the members from coming, albeit late.  We had a bunch of nonmembers come, too: Yolanda Jamolin and her kids, Greg Sabarello (we're teaching him now), Sally (step-daughter of Vicente Sabongan), and the daraga (young single woman) from the pool hall across the street.  It was a nice baptism.  I performed it in the Pacific Ocean.  The water was beautiful and still.  There was a lot of coral, so the huge waves crashed about 100 meters from shore.  We had a branch activity afterwards.  We ate lunch, played volleyball, and the children swam.  Elder Culbertson, Ryan Jamolin, Sally, and I walked out along the coral to watch the gigantic waves.  We looked at all the cool sea life as we went.  It was a good day, enjoyed by all, even if it did rain the whole time.  Good fellowshipping for our investigators.
