I've been in Guiuan for exactly a month now. Pretty neat, ano? (Ano means "what." In this instance, saying ano is the Waray-Waray equivalent of Canadians saying "eh?")
The electricity came on at 5:30 this morning. I was quite happy. Until it went off again at 9:30, just as church was starting. It's 1:30 now, and it still hasn't come back on.
I've been dreaming about going home a lot lately. I don't know why, I'm not trunky or homesick or anything. Last night's dream was weird. I went home with Elder Wetenkamp and lived with his family in San Francisco.
Occasionally, one of us will turn to the other and say, "Hey, have you ever peed on a dead monkey?" The other will respond, "Yeah, have you?" We've decided to start a club consisting of people who have peed on dead monkeys. It's called The Yellow Monkey Club. We will search out members. They must have proof, though, that they've urinated on a dead monkey.
