Party hard |
It's about ten minutes after midnight. It sounds like a freakin' war zone out there! They love fire crackers here. We still have electricity. That's a good sign.
LATER
It's afternoon now. We woke up at 8:00 this morning to the electricity turning off. I was worried, but the power came back on half an hour later. It's been a pretty boring day. We had companionship study, listened to the priesthood session of April 1999 General Conference, made signs for various doors in the house, I washed some garments, we played Pass the Pigs, and read part of "Mga Barasahon han Libro ni Mormon." (Book of Mormon Stories.) That's about it. Oh, wait. I reorganized my photo album, too.
Elder Wetenkamp just told me that it's 10:47 last night in California right now. That means it's 11:47 in Alberta. It's almost the year 2000 for my family.
LATER
We are so bored! It's almost 9:00 pm. We still hear a firecracker explode every now and then. It's hard to believe that there are any left after last night. We were so bored that we watched the pig living behind our CR (Comfort room. It's what they call the bathroom in the Philippines) eat her dinner. The little neighbour girls laughed at us for it. I don't blame them. We were laughing ourselves.
We've got one of them big loud lizards living in our ceiling. Elder Wetenkamp hates those things.
Okay, I'm done writing in here for today.
