24 September 1999

Today was pretty cool  The zone leaders (Elder Mendoza and Elder Valladolid) came up in the morning, and the four of us swept the public park for CSP (community service project) with Butch Dela Cruz, former investigator and long-time friend of the missionaries.  The ZLs are cool.  Elder Mendoza is a fellow Almeria-lover.  Elder Valladolid was transferred to Abuyog at the same time that I was transferred here, and he loved his last area (Borongan).  I went on splits with him this afternoon, so we both talked and comforted each other about this last transfer day.  The purpose of the split was baptismal interviews.  Elder Valladolid interviewed Ligaya Amosco while Elder Werner and Elder Mendoza went up to San Roque and worked.  After the interview, Valladolid and I did some contacting, then met back up with Mendoza and Werner.  We all went to see Hazel and Susan, two daragas (young single women) that will be baptized this Sunday.  Mendoza interviewed them.  They're really cool, especially Hazel.
